Hi, I’m Jennifer! Photographer, mama of five, homeschooler, and a proud late bloomer when it comes to coffee. I didn’t even try it until I was 40yo... now we’ve got a fancy machine and my go-to is an iced cortado that’s basically creamy, caffeinated joy in a glass.
I’ve been photographing families and more since 2003 in Phoenix. I started out shooting in just black and white, drawn to the simplicity and emotion, and eventually shifted into color... but that love for quiet, honest storytelling has never changed.
These days, we live on a small farm tucked into the mountains of western North Carolina. Life here is full and beautiful…a little loud, a little messy, and often fueled by snacks. We've got kids ranging from toddler to grown-up, two who joined us through foster care, and a whole lot of love (and laundry).
Photography, for me, is a way to slow down and really see people. I love capturing the in-between stuff…the laugh mid-hug, the soft glance, the realness.
My sessions are relaxed, easygoing, and kid-friendly (chaos is welcome). I’ll guide you through the whole process with warmth, calm, and probably at least one joke that doesn’t quite land.
